Tracy, I keep trying to get more out of my left but cheek, but it’s been tapped out. Lol. Your thoughts on methylation ring true over and over in all clients especially those with cognitive impairment. Porphyria is another hidden epidemic.

Yes to bringing awareness that surgery is systemic stress and should be supported beyond wound care!
Bravo. Just avoided a surgery for my sons ruptured Achilles exactly for this reason and he is healing better and faster than others who had surgical complications!

I really liked the discussion on sleep and rest and how these are paramount to the body finding homeostasis.
I know I’m too late for the drawing but I appreciate the webinar!
Thanks,
Tanya

Thanks again Tracy for this wonderful webinar. Learning how much the “softer side” has to contribute to health & wellness is really deep. Also having empathy on to what the body is doing, it’s just picking cues that we are sending to it!

Another wonderful video, thank you so much, Tracy! I just love the focus on the fundamentals. Love the handy summary! Love the sleep apnea point, very topical for me, the emphasis on toxins and also sugar. Love hearing this fundamental info structured in different ways.

Tracy, what inspired me most was how I resonated with you in regard to the fact that we do not have healthcare we have disease management. I have been an RN for 44 years and working the Emergency Room where we put “bandaids” on patient’s by just treating the

symptoms and sending them home. I knew there had to be a better way. I have been looking for a program that can teach me how to get to the “root” cause of dis-ease so I can really help people to heal their bodies & experience health and wellness! I have joined SAFM and can’t wait to start this new journey!

I enjoyed today very much. Still going through it a 2nd time. When Tracy mentioned Sleep Apnea and lack of oxygen, along with how this can affect the body. 20% of the population is a large number and that this is something they or their partner may not be aware of is concerning. Many may assume it is thyroid or blood sugar related when it could be sleep apnea.

Many thanks for all you share! I enjoy these so much and will listen again to take notes.

wonderful teaching pearls here tracy, thank you! good reminders about interconnections and how we can miss some clues by not looking at the basics but diving too quickly into the esoteric. good reminders on the importance of overall balance, including emotions and prioritizing our wellness. thank you!

Thank you Tracy for yet another great session. I’m feeling very inspired and empowered to improve my own health. I can’t agree more that disease starts in the gut. I recently found out about multiple food sensitivities that I’ve had who knows for how long, and I’m now suspecting leaky gut. I was shocked to learn that I’m highly sensitive to the very foods that I normally eat (wheat, pork, apples, coconut oil??). I’ve been struggling with insomnia on and off for the past 6 years, also have been losing hair (but blamed it on postpartum hormone imbalance). It’s all started to make sense to me now – food sensitivities, possibly leaky gut, elevated levels of eosinophils, seasonal allergies, nutrient deficiencies (low vit B6,B12,B1,B7), insufficient lipase and pepsin = low serotonin and as a result my sleep issues. I wonder if I connected the dots here

I’m also curious to know if excessive consumption of fruit can lead to fatty liver due to too much fructose?

Thank you again for such a rich video full of many pearls. I am always in awe to learn about the different impacts in detail that medicines have in the body in regard to causing absorption issues and even methylation issues. I always learn so much from the same video by repeating the viewing.

Hello Tracy and SAFM Team! Thank you! As always I was very inspired by Tracy’s evolving lectures/webinars on function medicine.. It’s quite the umbrella and Tracy beautifully described today What is needed in our health care system. What stood out today would be the notion of The multi-modality team in our health care system. She’s right! There’s a huge disconnect.. but, the message we can give our pt’s and clients is that they are NOT broken. They live in a culture that Promotes who can be more stressed like a contest.. I believe a team that priorities a healing environment is key as she stated. I’m not going to write a novel here but will state one last point.. that is in my heart as well Tracy. I want the people I work with to know we (they) need to return to the art of rest and recreation as a key healer. Examples, walking leisurely enjoying the breeze, the stars and remembering our value and purpose. Strong ties to community, and self worth.. This disconnect is killing us. Returning to the art of living and not competing on who’s life is harder is true medicine. Thank you and I’m glad… Read more »

I get so pumped listening to you provide information that I resonate with and additional information I can immediately share with my clients, friends, and family. And I was walking with my dog when you mentioned taking time out to do just that….and simply recognizing a better lifestyle IS the “medicine” we need, what our bodies crave, yes! Love it!! And yes, the system is broken it’s soooo broken it’s sad (along with the SAD). Thank you for SAFM! So blessed to have met you Tracy and I am so blessed to have enrolled and looking forward to more!!

I am amazed at how much information is missed with just one isten. Just when I thought I got it the link crashed and I had to start all over and to my surprise there was information I had missed such as metformin causing methelation issues

Thank you for today’s talk. I am an old RN 🙂 and a new health coach for just the reasons you talked about. Healthcare is very broken and it’s time to let our own bodies heal ourselves. We can all do it, we just need to know how.

Thank you for sharing. This was a very rich FB session with lots of pearls. I personally enjoy the simplicity of maximize, minimize, and prioritize as I am new to functional medicine and am a overwhelmed with the amount of information that I am learning. I appreciated the details regarding sugar and fatty liver as I see so many people that are addicted to sugar which has many downstream problems. Thanks again for sharing.

Another amazing, striking, inspiring, empowering, and intriguing talk. I am loving it. I love all the courses, LIVE sessions. SAFM is my family, my mentor, my resources, and lifetime partner–love to follow all the way. Today, I got so many tips, pearls to share. First, focus on what to be minimized: (1) toxins (2) allergens (3) infection (4) stress (5) Trauma–emotional, physical, mental, + surgery–need support. In addition, Prioritizing environment for healing–take the soft-side of lifestyle choices: sleep, rest, purpose, connected to community, feel accepted, self-worth, self-love. Thanks a lot for everything– Tracy and your superb team. Love to be part of this.
