SAFM is excited to share the Deep Dive Clinical Courses (DDCC) KIP and Self-Test updates.
Each DDCC now includes a self-test and an ongoing reference tool called a “KIP” or Key Interconnectedness Pearls for the class. Each KIP is a short summary of key practical and clinical application concepts discussed in the associated Deep Dive Clinical Course. This document is not a course summary but rather a learning tool designed to help students synthesize complex information and reinforce the interconnectedness style of thinking that is foundational to the SAFM approach. KIPs are provided once a course and the associated self-test have been completed.
Here is the updated list of DDCCs with Self-Tests and KIPs:

A KIP (Key Interconnectedness Pearls) is a 3-page summary of the key practical and clinical application concepts discussed in the associated Deep Dive Clinical Course (DDCC). This document is not a course summary but rather a learning tool designed to help students synthesize complex information and reinforce the interconnectedness style of thinking that is foundational to the SAFM approach.
Upon successful completion of the respective DDCC and associated self-test, the student will receive the course KIP via email along with the self-test answer key. For convenience, the self test answer key will also be available for download at the top of the course self test page and the KIP will also be available for download at the top of the course homepage.
All Deep Dive Clinical Courses include a self-test and KIP, except Power of Organic Acids Testing, which has a self-test, but NO KIP.
Yes. Students are eligible to receive a course-aligned KIP as soon as they complete and submit the respective self-test.* Unless you completed this course within the last semester, we strongly encourage you to refamiliarize yourself with the content before attempting the self-test.
