BPA and Blood Pressure

At long last, we have an extremely high-quality study showing that we DO absorb high amounts of BPA from beverages in cans.  And that the BPA causes a relatively rapid increase in blood pressure.  Don’t miss the fundamentals in your session work with clients/patients.  Encourage them to eat and drink fresh foods and beverages or those stored in glass (which is essentially inert).  This study showed that only a single exposure has a measurable effect on blood pressure, so imagine the impact of sustained, daily intake!?!  In particular, think about your clients who consume beer – or even seltzer water – in cans.  http://www.naturalmedicinejournal.com/journal/2015-02/bisphenol-beverage-containers-may-raise-blood-pressure .

I hope this quick clinical tip serves you and your patients and clients.

Warmly,
