True Health or Not True Health

I am so excited to share this Facebook Live with you. All current practitioners – both newcomers and veterans to functional medicine science – are welcome. I bring you fresh knowledge and insight into the functional medicine interconnectedness at play with some fascinating case examples of the (often huge) difference between treating disease and reversing root causes.

At SAFM we teach our students to be both confident and highly skilled at “puzzle piecing” and finding the interconnectedness between the pieces of each patient’s unique case. This approach makes all the difference in the world in your business. Because here’s a truth you need to hear: Absence of symptoms and true health are NOT the same thing. We’ve got to be willing to dive into the detailed and unique interconnectedness for each person.

Although you may already be a savvy practitioner, I believe you will learn something new, that you can use right away in your practice.  Here are some of the things I discuss in this video:
  • The fundamental flaw that prevents conventional medicine from being effective in reversing chronic disease
  • The common mistake many practitioners make in looking for Root Causes of dis-ease (are you doing it too?)
  • Unexpected connections in hypertension: the common remedy worsens the very thing it’s supposed to be helping (this one will definitely surprise you)
  • Common conventional rapid relief intervention can even be life-threatening
  • A classic heart disease intervention actually increasing the risk of a tragic cardiovascular event
  • The most important true root causes of dis-ease that are missed – every single day! – by even savvy practitioners

Thank you very much for joining in on the fun and learning!

With warmth, love, and gratitude to you for sharing your gifts with so many,

    Sharon L Andrews says:

Thank You SOOOOO much. I learned what the medications that they gave me after my heart attack that started to cause harm to my body years later. I now understand what my body is doing. I appreciate what you do and have learned again! I love it.

Now I can help my clients as I move forward. This totally resonates with me and what I am looking to do as a Wholeness Guide. I have been focusing people on all levels of their health and not just the band-aid affect.

    Namaste~

    Joyously,
    Sharon

    Allyson Nash says:

I loved the example Tracy used about how diuretics affect the bloods vessels. Like a balloon expanding past its normal elasticity point, damaging the walls of the blood vessels. Really easy to understand this example and is a teachable moment for my clients.

    Nikki Fedel says:

So enjoyed the discussion & would love the opportunity to use this approach with my patient population. Thanks for sharing a few of your pearls of wisdom today. Personally I would like to understand the link between steroid use, and oral contraceptives with chronic debilitating eczema, how can this be addressed and ultimately reversed. Thanks for your time and for spreading this valuable information.

    Sharon L Andrews says:

Thank You so much. I learned why my body has been acting the way it has been since my heart attack. I had the “cocktail” that they created. I have had many health issues that rose after that treatment. I was telling the doctor when I had to reduce or release certain medications in order for my body to heal. I have continued to learn and this was great for me to hear. Namaste~

    Marsha Donaldson says:

I was really surprised to learn that wsrfarin (coumadin) was not designed to be taken long-term. As well as learning the detrimental effects it has on the cardiovascular system.
Thank you for such an informative presentation! I missed the first part (time zone confusion!), so will listen to it when it’s available online.

    Pam Sotzin says:

Good reminder that nutrients in the blood don’t equal nutrients in the cells. Also appreciate acknowledgement of the limitations that conventional medical practitioners are dealing with and the example of long-term solutions to health issues through alternative means (nutrition and lifestyle changes). Thank you!

    Linda Noel says:

The connection between Coumadin/calcium/Vitamin D2 was a revelation to me. It would make sense that this would also affect Vitamin D absorption as well. It is disconcerting that doctors keep patients on these medications for life without realizing the ramifications.

    Angela Atkins says:

I am so onboard with teaching clients the differences between taking a medication for a short period in an acute situation but not for long term chronic care. The cultural shift for people to want to change their lifestyle rather than take a pill for every ill is a huge obstacle. It is imperative all of us interested in working functionally with our clients stress lifestyle changes as the permanent solution. I love this stuff and want to soak up as much knowledge as possible as I can on this information.

    Pam says:

so much amazing information! thank you for sharing your knowledge!

  13. 8
    Irma Jennings says:

Every session Tracy offers, my body says, “you know this is true”. I was particularly struck with her knowledge regarding warfarin and the way it blocks Vitamin K2. That spoke to the marrow of my bones as that is my niche market, women who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis. And Vitamin K2 – MK4 and MK7 is key to bring calcium into the bones. Thank you, Tracy, for your energy, dedication and knowledge that you share.

    Karen Herb says:

  16. 5
    Jasmine Pointer says:

Thanks for today’s live. It was informative as always. Today, I learned that a balance of potassium and sodium is needed for optimal blood pressure, not just a reduction in sodium. I also learned that magnesium controls the in-flow and out-flow of potassium to and from the cells. This helps me better understand the importance of electrolytes. Thank you!

    Andrea Sapienza says:

The future of medicine MUST be restoring physiological function! Great work!!
